LAND & ROUTE SURVEYING

Fuhrmann Engineering, Inc. believes that surveying is the primary foundation for all engineering projects to be successful. We are dedicated to collect accurate field data for all jobs large or small. Our surveyors are knowledgeable of the local, county, state and federal regulations that are required for commercial, industrial and residential land development. FEI has several survey crews qualified to conduct various land and route surveys using state of the art Total Station and GPS technology.

• 8 miles of Horizontal and Vertical Control and Topographic Surveying along I-90 for the Chicago area.

Illinois Department of Transportation District 2

• Locate boundary, record research, preparation of statutory Plats of Highway and legal descriptions for proposed right-of-way parcels, preparation of monument records and staking of proposed right-of-way for 5 miles of improvement involving 85 parcels in Winnebago County.
• 16 miles of Topographic Surveying for proposed highway widening including Hydraulic Surveys for two structures in Stephenson County.

Illinois Department of Transportation District 4

• 1.3 miles of Horizontal and Vertical Control and Topographic Surveying along Illinois Route 91 in Stark County.
• 1.7 miles of Horizontal and Vertical Control and Topographic Surveying along Illinois Route 40, Knoxville Avenue in Peoria County.

Illinois Department of Transportation District 5

• Locate boundary, record research, preparation of statutory Plats of Highway and legal descriptions for proposed right-of-way parcels, preparation of monument records and staking of proposed right-of-way for 9 miles of improvement involving 27 parcels in Shelby and Moultrie County.

Illinois Department of Transportation District 6

• Locate boundary, record research, preparation of statutory Plats of Highway and legal descriptions for proposed right-of-way parcels, preparation of monument records and staking of proposed right-of-way for 6 miles of improvement involving 30 parcels in Hancock County.
• Locate boundary, record research, preparation of statutory Plats of Highway and legal descriptions for proposed right-of-way parcels, preparation of monument records and staking of proposed right-of-way for Locate boundary, record research, preparation of statutory Plats of Highway for 3 miles of improvement involving 10 parcels in Morgan County.
• Topographic survey and hydraulic survey of 8 existing bridges. Work included legal description and Right-of Way Plats in Christian County.
• Locate boundary, record research, preparation of statutory Plats of Highway and legal descriptions for proposed right-of-way parcels, preparation of monument records and staking of proposed right-of-way for 8 miles of improvement involving 21 parcels in Morgan County.
• Route Surveying and a Section Strip Map for approximately 8 miles for proposed highway relocation in Morgan County.
• Locate boundary, record research, preparation of statutory Plats of Highway and legal descriptions for proposed right-of-way parcels, preparation of monument records and staking of proposed right-of-way for 3 miles of improvement involving 5 parcels in Pike County.

Capitol Development Board

• Topographic survey for layout of one-half mile of access road for the proposed Newton Lake Boat Ramp and access area in Jasper County.
• Topographic Surveying for a proposed boardwalk in Castle Rock State Park in Ogle County.
• Topographic survey and construction staking for the North Harbor Boat Ramp improvements at Lake Sangchris in Christian County.
• Topographic survey for the proposed pump house improvements at the Sanganois Conservation Area in Schuyler County.

Illinois Department of Military Affairs

• ALTA Survey of 15 National Guard Armories for the Illinois Army National Guard.
• Boundary survey, record research, preparation of plats and legal descriptions for 7 tracts of land totaling 2,500 acres in Randolph County for the Illinois Army National Guard.

Private Contractors

• Conducted construction staking for the Old Route 66 widening and relocation north of Lincoln, Illinois.
• Route Surveying and a Section Strip Map for approximately 40 miles for a crude oil pipeline in Boone and De Kalb Counties.
• Conducted construction staking for the proposed Macarthur Street extension involving two major bridges and a cloverleaf exchange for I-72, south of Springfield, Illinois.

• Topographic Survey, Aerial Mapping Control, Hydraulic Survey for new box culverts and Boundary Survey for 120 Acre Sangamon Valley Landfill.
• Family Video site/civil plans including topographic & boundary survey and construction staking in Galesburg, Springfield, Peoria and Morton.
